What your Aromas of Mexico Cooking Class includes
If you’re one of those people who plans their day based on where and what they get to eat, then this is the class for you. Immerse yourself in the delicious world of Mexican cuisine led by an expert local chef.
To start, your head chef will give you a background on the key flavors, elements, and tastes of traditional Mexican cuisine – from tacos, to arroz con leche, to everything in between. You’ll follow along on a trip to a local food market to help pick out the best of the best ingredients. Stroll the aisles and let the delectable scents of spices and treats lead the way.
After you’ve selected your ingredients, you’ll head to one of Mexico’s best restaurants for refreshments and a three-hour lesson on how to create the classic warmth of a local dish. Follow along with the chef as you prepare guacamole, sopes, and enchiladas all on your own. Experience the real warmth of a Mexican kitchen using traditional tools like Molcajete (stone mortar), Comal (flat griddle) and clay pots. As you dice, chop, and dash away, your guide will tell the story of each dish’s history in Mexican culture.
Not only will you have several delicious meals to pick on at the end of your class, you’ll also walk away with a newfound appreciation for homemade cooking and the delicious tastes of Mexico.
